An Introduction to Lichens

What do you know about Lichens?  Chloe had an amazing opportunity to spend a week at the Natural History Museum working with their lichen experts and is planning to share what she learned with you.  The world of lichen is both fascinating and complex.  This will be an introduction to lichens, we’ll show you the amazing complexity of their composition and enable you to identify some types of lichen when walking.  Mostly through we’ll help you appreciate this amazing organism.

This event is part of our talk and walk series.  Join us just for the talk or the walk or both.  The talk will take place from 0930 – 12 pm, there will then be a break for lunch and for Wild Stroud to clear up.  We will then reconvene at the walking location at 13:30 for about an hour and a half.  The walk location may not yet be confirmed.  Lift sharing will be organised.
