SUMMARY:Women’s Sunset Canal Walk: Flowers & Wildlife Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a peaceful women-only evening walk along the Stroud Canal\, celebrating the flowers\, wildlife and quiet beauty of this special urban nature corridor. \nLed by Wild Stroud\, an organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing Stroud’s urban wildlife scorridors\, this guided walk explores the rich wildlife of the Stroud Canal. From wildflowers lining the towpath to birds\, insects and other canal wildlife\, you’ll gain a fresh appreciation of the nature on your doorstep.  Who knows what we will see…  However at the end of this walk you will know where to look and apps you can use to help you identify\, insects\, birds and flowers (info on these apps will be supplied in joining instructions). \nOur first walk starts at Stroud Brewery (and finishes there too\, if you have time to stay afterwards). This gentle circular walk lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes. We’ll follow the canal before climbing to easy paths running parallel to the water\, then loop back down to the towpath. \nAs with all wildlife experiences\, nature offers no guarantees—but the joy lies in slowing down\, noticing more\, and learning where to look. \nCome along for fresh air\, connection\, and the chance to experience the canal in a whole new way. \nPlease wear sturdy shoes and bring waterproofs in case of rain\, along with a drink. A torch is recommended for later in the evening\, although we don’t expect to need it. \nNo dogs. Maximum 12 people \nThis walk is kindly sponsored by Cotswold Canals Connected. in collaboration with Gloucestershire Love Her Wild and Wild Stroud
