Living a Zero Waste Life (Or Trying To!)
Join us for an engaging and practical look at reducing waste at home and in everyday life.
To start the evening we will ear from a local zero waste advocate as they share an honest take on their journey towards a low-waste lifestyle, from veg boxes to second-hand clothes, highlighting both the successes and the challenges along the way.
Expect plenty of simple, realistic tips to help you cut waste, save money, and make more sustainable choices.
You’ll also hear from the Gloucestershire Recycles team at Gloucestershire County Council, who will explore local initiatives designed to help you go beyond the bin. From repair cafés and rental schemes to refill shops, second-hand buying, and choosing lower-waste packaging, they’ll showcase accessible ways to reduce clutter and consumption. Drawing on research from Keep Britain Tidy, they’ll also share insights into why reducing waste matters and what encourages people across the UK to buy less.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking for fresh ideas, this session offers inspiration and practical steps to help you make a difference.
Doors open at 7pm and the talk will start at 7.30pm, with an opportunity for questions at the end. Free entry and the bar will be open.
